COP ROBBED AT WAYNE JCT

An off-duty Philadelphia Police officer was robbed at gunpoint earlier this afternoon. According to KYW NewsRadio, three suspects - two male and one female - allegedly approached the officer - whose name was not released pending an Internal Affairs investigation, but was identified as a member of the SWAT unit - shortly after 12 noon today. One of the male subjects pulled a gun on the officer, who fired his weapon. Nobody was hit during the shooting. The two male subjects fled the scene, while police captured the female subject. KYW also reports that the suspects fled with the officer's cell phone.
