NJT GOES BACK TO SCHOOL

In a promotion that is simply more sensible than the "15 Minute Pick-Up" contest promoting the increased peak hour service on the River Line, NJ Transit announced yesterday that college students at seven colleges across the state will be able to ride NJT buses, trolleys, and trains for free between September 8 and 15. In addition, students attending Rutgers-New Brunswick, Rutgers-Camden, Rutgers-Newark, Drew University in Union County, Seton Hall University in South Orange, Montclair State University in Essex County, and William Patterson University in Passaic County will soon be able to purchase monthly bus or rail passes on-line at njtransit.com for a 25 percent discount. The program will be extended to other colleges statewide next year.
